Tim Thompson
Pastor
Pastor Tim Thompson and his wife Kimberly were both born in the Winter Haven (FL) Hospital, about five and a half years apart; and grew up in the Auburndale/Winter Haven area. They met in April of 1990, through the ministry of the First Missionary Baptist Church of Auburndale. They were engaged in April of ’91, and married in April of ’93. In September of that year, after having been on the run from the Lord for a good while, Tim surrendered to the ministry. He almost immediately started classes at what was then Florida Baptist College (now Emmaus Baptist). He didn’t stop until he had a total of eight (8) degrees from the school. The Thompsons have three (3) sons: Asher, Kheyl, and Tilon, born in ’98, ’99, and ’02, respectively. Having served in various other churches beginning in July of ’95, he has been pastor of the 60th Street BC since February of 2006.

Steven Smith
Worship Director

I have served as Worship Leader since 1980. I love leading the congregation in worship. It’s the highlight of each week. It has helped me to grow in my Christian walk with the Lord. God has blessed us with wonderful talent, which makes my responsibilities a lot lighter. I’m honored to be surrounded by gifted musicians who help to sharpen my skills. The scripture says that, “iron sharpens iron”. Music and studying the Word of God are my two passions. Another passion is being married to Suzette who also encourages me in my walk with the Lord. We enjoy sweet fellowship together as we study and read God’s Word and pray together.
Scott Clark
Elder
I received the Lord Jesus Christ as my Savior in 1983. In my earliest days as a Christian, I had a strong desire to teach and preach the word of God. It wasn’t long before I started teaching a class of 9th grade boys in my church. A short time later I started preaching in a nearby nursing home. After a couple of years, I was invited to preach here at the 60th St. Baptist Church. In 1993, I was invited to travel to Panama to preach revival services in 2 churches. One year later I was invited to Suriname to preach. That is where I met my wife Lily. I returned to Suriname 6 months later to marry her. Over the past 26 years, God has given us opportunities to minister His word in 17 countries around the world. For many years I have had the privilege to teach an adult bible class here at 60th Street Baptist Church. I also play drums in our church praise band. Lily has been blessed to teach a children’s class for many years.

Kory Manchester
Assistant Worship Director
Kory and RaeAnn Manchester came to 60th Street Baptist church in May of 2017 from Seymour Missouri. RaeAnn’s father Joe McEwen, a retired Navy chief, electronics instructor for P-tech and long time Pinellas Park resident had recently developed serious health conditions and required skilled nursing care. RaeAnn, following God’s conviction, and having years of skilled nursing experience, could think of no better and more honorable solution than for she, Kory and their granddaughter Brielle Waterhouse to move to Pinellas Park indefinitely to care for her father. Kory and RaeAnn write and perform their original music as often as they can at the church’s Solid Grounds Coffehouse and several local venues in addition to serving on the praise and worship team. RaeAnn lends her soprano voice to the choir and plays mandolin for the praise and worship team. Kory plays guitar and several other instruments. RaeAnn has also served in the food pantry, is an active participant in the ladies auxiliary, has assisted with the Wednesday night children’s ministry and is always willing, when possible, to make deliveries to family’s in need of household items for an associated ministry called “Community helping community.” Kory teaches children ages 9 to 12 years of age in Wednesday night’s “Truth-Seekers” class with fellow church member Jamie Valentine. Understanding the desperate need for Christ- centered youth education, Kory and RaeAnn pray the Lord continues to move both in and through them as servants of God’s perfect and Holy will.

Goran Radak
Outreach Director
Jesus Christ has caused me to be born again in the year of 2011, through a specific verse found in Psalm 50:15. This new birth occurred after my sin had become exceedingly sinful through the reading of God’s ten commandments (Exodus 20). Unbeknownst to me at the time, He had also chosen me to preach and teach His Holy Word (1 Tim 1:12). I am forever grateful that He has entrusted to me His Gospel (1 Thess 2:4). Through His Gospel, He has changed my God-hating heart of stone into a God-loving heart of flesh (Eze 36:26). Currently, Jesus has appointed me to be the Outreach Director of His Church in Pinellas Park. We take seriously what Paul said, “how shall they hear without a preacher?” To accomplish this calling, Jesus has given me His beloved daughter named Jasmine Radak. God has blessed us with four children (Judah, Leilani, Zion, Ezra). Our daily time of family worship is my principal ministry.
